rise up for Allah’s sake

Imam Khomeini:
we do realize the solitude and isolation of some of the committed `ulama’ in their own cities and countries, surrounded as they are by bayonets and subject to pressures, intimidations and illegal verdicts of mercenary court-divines. But we remind all those good people, who are engulfed on all sides by the pressure of tyrants, of the divine admonition: “rise up for Allah’s sake, by twos and singly, and then reflect” So rise up for the sake of God and do not be afraid of isolation and solitude.28 July 1987
