Martyr Mahdi Araghi (1930 – 1979)
– he started fighting against the Shah’s regime from a young age.
– He was a member of Fadaiyan-e-Islam and one of the founders of the Islamic Coalition Party.
– Together with some members of the Islamic Coalition delegations, he participated in the assassination of Hassan Ali Mansour, the Prime Minister of Mohammad Reza Shah.
– Araghi Arrested after the assassination and was first condemned to death and then to life imprisonment.
– martyr Araghi was released from prison in February 1976.
