Art and sports against colonialism

Ousmane Sembe’ne
Sembene is a Senegalese writer and director who is often known as the father of African cinema. His first film, (Black Girl) is about a Senegalese maid in the south of France who is never allowed to leave the house and is constantly harassed by her landlord and guests. In this work, Sembene criticizes the humiliating behavior of European colonialists towards Africans.
