Hamina is an Algerian director and screenwriter who is known for the film chronicle of the Years of Fire, an epic film that depicts the Algerian war of Independence. This film, which won the palme d’Or prize at the Cannes Film Festival, is about a poor man from Algeria who, after serving in the French army, decides to fight colonialism for the independence of his country.
