Hondo is one of the actors and filmmakers from Mauritania who depicts the cruel aspects of colonialism in his works, Soleil O (Oh Sun), is one of his creative works that was shown at the Cannes International Film Festival and won the Golden cheetah Award at the Locarno Film Festival. This film tells the story of work as an accountant in Marseille, France, but is gradually dragged into the abyss of destruction. In this film, Hondo shows the absurdity and Cruelty of colonial approaches.
